Ante partum assessment and teaching related to:

• Pre-term Labor
• Gestational Diabetes
  • Glucose monitoring, nutritional education and insulin instruction for gestational diabetes
• Hyper emesis
  • Infusion therapy, including antibiotic therapy
• Pre-eclampsia

Post partum assessment and teaching related to:

• Breat feeding/Newborn feeding techniques
• Parenting Skills
• Wound Care
  • Related to medical/surgical complications post-cesarean section
• Complex Social Situations

Our program is designed to:

• Improve ante partum maternal health status with the goal of improving short to long term infant health status
• Prevent/treat postpartum medical complications
• Educate new parents in parenting and childcare skills
• Assist in adjustment to altered family structure post partum
